Holistic Management® Land Planning:
Whole Farm/Ranch Infrastructure Development

COURSE DESCRIPTION:
(Pre-requisite: Introduction to Holistic Management, Holistic Management® Financial Planning, and Holistic Management® Grazing Planning)

In this course you will learn how to integrate what you have learned in the previous Holistic Management classes to then be better prepared to create a land plan (infrastructure development) from a whole farm/ranch context. This planning process includes further analysis of core management needs, infrastructure projections, option analysis, risk assessment, and determining costs and schedules. Lastly you will learn how to prepare and use maps, overlays, and other land planning aids. We will be using Powerpoint to create map overlays. You will need to select two land units with whom you can work for this course.

3. How to create a biological inventory
4. How to create a master map
5. How to create overlays
6. How to determine cost & schedules
7. How to perform a cost/benefit analysis
8. How to integrate holistic financial, production, and land planning
9. How to evaluate plans
